FAQs

Why not a hire a full-time person?

Our subscription is a better value in a lot of cases. For example, the annual cost of a full-time senior-level PM now exceeds $210k/yr ($150k base + $45k benefits + $15k bonus). You might be in the situation where you will benefit from a Senior hire but don't have enough work to keep one or both of these roles busy at all times, so you'd be stuck paying for time you aren't able to utilize. With the monthly plan, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you're only paying when you have work available.

What about my in-house team?

They are here to stay! We are not designed to outsource your product people. We're here to supplement your product organization with proven product leadership to help you align the ship, fill in gaps, or simply take a bit of the load off your existing team(s).

How does my subscription work?

We try to keep things simple. You pay a monthly subscription and in return get fractional product and strategic help. To us, fractional product and strategic help is a mix of tangible deliverables (we call these 'requests') and time spent working with leadership on strategy, preferably via in-office sessions (which is why we prioritize ATX startups.)

Is there a limit or a cap on requests?

Once subscribed, you're able to add as many requests to your queue as you'd like, and they will be delivered one by one in priority order. Some requests take longer than others (we'll communicate timelines upfront) so it's important to keep this in mind when considering your subscription length and get a better value!

What if I'm not a startup?

There are likely two paths here: 1) You're part of a large organization that wants/needs to be more startup like. If that's you, let's chat! 2) You are starting out and are likely pre-revenue. If that's the case, we're likely not a good fit but feel free to reach out! We're happy to mentor/advise startups that we see potential in.
